8th Mar Ryann's class and his dog encounter

Ryann's class is full today. Pretty chaotic again. Ryann wasn't really listening at all today. The only segment he was listening attentively was the flash cards. I am starting to think if i should change him to the right brain teaching school instead.

I have also noticed that Ryann usually get very easily distracted with the zoophonics cards on the wall. Usually, I will sit near the teachers by the side of the room. For 2 weeks i sat facing the teachers with the zoophonics cards behind me. Ryann will not look front but he will always be looking at the back. Guess i must change his sitting arrangement.

Today we introduced the letter J. We are suppose to do the jelly fish movement when we sing the song and Ryann enjoyed it alot. He was laughing away. We introduced the words Jar, Jam and Jump. Teacher Russell allowed them to taste some jam but Ryann refused to eat.

Throughout the class, Ryann was walking around and just refused to sit down. During the confidence builder exercise, we are suppose to throw a scarf and catch them before it falls on the ground. This was supposed to train his eye coordination and improve his vocabulary but Ryann simply ignored me. He wasn't interested at all.

When we introduced masking tape by sticking one on his hand, he pull it, crush it and threw it on the floor. =( During artwork time, we are supposed to stick some colourful cereals on a piece of paper with double side tape. Ryann stick some on and soon he started removing them from the paper again. We ended with only 4 left on the paper.

Today with so many artwork program we ended the class without any music segment.

But one thing i learned about Ryann is he really learns from flash cards and those picture posters. He enjoys looking at the big posters and as i point to those pictures, he will look at those pictures very attentively. I really hope Ryann will improve next week.

Went to grandpa house to visit him. When sister in law arrive with Luca, as usual he started barking at Ryann. I really don't know why he will always bark at Ryann, hubby and me, especially to Ryann. That got Ryann crying every time. Luca is a big dog. When he stand up, he could almost reach our shoulder already. To be frank with you, I am also scare of him. Although i have always been a dog lover, but this dog is really not my type. He is too big and fierce to me. I've ever walked dogs bigger then him but i just don't how to describe my feelings over Luca. I am scare of him yet i must act very strong because i am carrying Ryann. Maybe because the urge of wanting to protect Ryann overcome my fear for Luca, maybe not totally fearless but definitely gave me courage.

This is Luca when he was smaller. He is much bigger now. Still a baby actually, he is not even 1 years old yet. Very nice and pretty dog but it is a pity that he doesn't like us. If not it would be fun playing with him.

After so many times, I really wouldn't want Ryann to get near Luca anymore. Every time Luca barked at Ryann, he will cry so badly. Sometimes, at night he cannot sleep well, not sure if it is because he got frightened. Sometimes, i am really worried if one day Luca will attack Ryann. Hopefully one day Luca will be able to accept Ryann.
