26th Oct GUG Trial class

NO cameras allowed so we couldnt take pictures in the class.

They check the hands and legs before letting the kids go in but frankly speaking, they didnt disinfect ryann's hands because he simply refuse to let them touch his hands.

Classroom setup:

Toys and balls on the floor for free play warm up. They then got the kids to put back the toys themselves. Ryann manage to put back a ball but bad aiming skills, the ball was outside the box.

When the class starts, they start to sing a song to get the kids sitting on the mat. During the singing part, Ryann enjoyed it alot. Clapping his hands along and smiling. They introduced the number 9 by counting the number of babies in the class and 9 stars were drawn on the board. Through out the play time, they encourage the babies to say bye bye to the toys.

They did quite a few songs which Ryann participate by clapping and hiting the mat. Some familiar songs we did during the class was like wheels on the bus, twinkle twinkle little star, itcy wincy spider, old macdonald had a farm.

During the class, they introduced Zoophonics. Today's letter is Q. They had this Quail puppet and this Quail puppet went round to kiss every baby on their cheeks. Then they introduced 3 words. Quiet, Quack and Queen.

Quiet - They had this book about Quiet and loud but Ryann wasn't paying any attention on the teacher. He was practically 'running' about the room.

Quack - They had this rubber duckie and the old macdonald song to attract Ryann's attention. They went round drawing this duck on every babies hand but ryann just refuse. Thank God for that as they use White board marker and some babies were even licking on it.

Queen - just some simple questions but Ryann was not listening. Neither am I.

Then we went round to the 'zoo' but singing the Zoo phonics song. Which was quite interesting.

Then the parachute came in. The parachute activity is for them to train on their self confidence. Ryann did very well for that segment. He was not scared, he did not cry and most of all he was smiling, The parachute activity requires us to put our babies at the centre of the parachute and mummies will hold the side and start turning round and round. Some babies started crying. After that, we tried to get the babies involved by pulling the side up and down. They started introducing a new song to teach up, down, under, fast and slow. Overall Ryann enjoyed this part.

Then come talking time. Ryann cannot sit still during the talking time. He only enjoys the singing part.We made mini maracas with Small aluminium foil balls.

After which We move on to the music room for more songs and exercise for the mummies. We sang songs of the park and we are suppose to swing them up and down like on the swing. I think Ryann enjoyed himself. Then we sang wheels on the bus. My favourite segment is the bubbles and the stars, They blow bubbles and Ryann was so happy to be able to touch them. Then they gave us each 1 touch light and they off the lights. Ryann's enjoyed them too. After everything we have to sing the goodbye song and that's the end of the class.

Overall, they were pretty organized but i think the teachers didn't control the class very well. As half way through quite messy. Ryann like the music part only. I only don't like the white board arker idea.

Ryann was so hungry after the class that he finishes his milk and he fell asleep on the way back.

I am glad he enjoyed the class.
