Today is the last class for term 1. Many of Ryann's classmates are not continuing. The funny thing about them is the other Ryan who is in his class was asked to go to the parents and tots class because of he is already 18 months. What puzzled me was he is only 10 days elder then Ryann. Thus i thot there wasn't a consistency. But never mind about that as i am very happy with Teacher Wei and Teacher Russell and i have no intention to change his class until i feel Ryann is really for it. Hopefully Ryann will be able to adapt to the new faces in the class next week.
Ryann like to dance to the music. During the warm up segment, he will dance to the music. He will also play to the toys provided. However, when the Zoo bag comes in, again he wasn't much interested about it again. Today's letter is H. We also learned about Hat, Hand and Happy.
A Hat was being passes around and when it was Ryann's turn, he immediately removed it. He never liked things on his head. There goes my Old Navy cap i brought for him.
During the zoo phonics song segment, Ryann's attention span was at his peak. He was practically glued to the flash cards. One thing i liked about Teacher Wei is, she notice that Ryann learns better through flash cards. This shows that she is attentive to the kids development. And i am more encouraged to do more flashing for Ryann.
During one segment, the kids were each given a toy car. The teachers did this DIY bridge using card boxes. We are suppose to introduced the word Push and Pull. Which Ryann enjoyed pushing the car but he never let go of the car at all. So funny.
For art segment, we did hand printing. I had always wanted to introduce hand painting for Ryann. He was pretty curious about the paint on his hands. After doing the hand printing, i wash his hands immediately so that he will have no chance to make a mess out of the table. A little gal in his class put her hand in the mouth and it was all pain inside. So poor thing. Luckily her mummy managed to wash them all out.
Music segment in the music room was fun today. We did some new songs like head shoulders knees and toes which Ryann quite like it. And we did this hokey pokey song whereby all the toddlers were all swing to the centre of the mat. That got them all laughing.
Starting term 2 next week, I hope all this input for Ryann is good for him and not wasting my money.
