Phew, it is getting harder to handle Ryann alone without any help. He is getting extremely active these days and was practically screaming every where in excitement.
Beginning of the class was still ok. Ryann started playing with toys and of cos he started snatching people's toys as well which was very bad.... Mmmm i wonder when will he learn? He walked everywhere in the class room and i was practically chasing after him.
When class starts, We started singing the sit down song and amazingly, before we sand the tap the mat section, Ryann was already tapping the mat. This shows that he remembers the songs. I read that children can learn better with songs and actions. This is totally true for Ryann.
We did a new Rhyme today about little bumble bee but i cannot remember the lyrics. Will try to remember next week.
When teacher Wei and teacher Russell introduce the number 10 and drew 10 fishes. Ryann walked up to the board with excitement.
During the Zoo bag segment, Ryann started feeling restless and he already want to walk around already. It is so hard to catch his attention but when Francy Fish gave him a kiss, he was feeling so shy. Then he gave me a kiss on my lips. So sweet. You know it is so hard to get his kiss!
Today we introduced fish, fingers and feet. When teacher Wei presents to the children a small fish tank with little fishes inside all the little ones were so excited.
For fingers we sang a finger song and it goes like this.
1 little 2 little 3 little fingers
4 little 5 Little 6 little fingers
7 little 8 little 9 little fingers
10 little fingers clap clap clap (clap)
10 little fingers tap tap tap (tap the mat)
10 little fingers wriggle wriggle wriggle (wriggle your fingers)
10 little fingers tickle tickle tickle (tickle your baby)
After all these, we started doing all the 26 Zoophonics and Ryann was again standing there looking at it. I think he enjoys flashcards most thus i am considering to buy the set of zoo phonics cards. Will check with them next week.
Today's confidence builder is called the baby basketball. the kids are supposed to throw the ball into the tray. Ryann not only did not throw the ball in, he took another ball out from the tray. Lastly, he refuse to give the ball back to the teachers and when i took it away from him, he cry!!!! So now he thinks that by crying he gets what he wants.
We had story telling about big and small today but Ryann was not even interested at all. He was very very restless already.
Project today is teaching about what items can float or sink. There is a big pail of water and we are suppose to get the kids to throw in some things to teach them the concept of floating and sinking. At the sight of water, Ryann is not keen about throwing the things into water, he is more keen about bathing. He almost put his leg into the pail of water. **Faint and when it is end of the activity, he cry again because he wants to play some more!
Then we went to music room for some songs after which we wrap up for the day.
Please help pray to God that Ryann's attention span will be better in class during those segments he was never interested with.
Anyway, Ryann's art work for last week. He applied the glue and i threw the yarn. Earth worm art.
